Amazing if your PC can handle it

I'm a lifetime member of XSplit, and despite OBS being free, I have no regrets. Out of the box, this software is very intuitive and easy to setup a layout, get settings ready to go, and start broadcasting. Switching between scenes is easy, it is compatible with the El Gato Streamdeck, and the only problems come on the CPU side. Every so often, and I do mean very rarely, I have issues due to CPU bottlenecking, but the upside to that is it almost never drops frames on the PC side due to heavier CPU usage. If you're dropping frames on XSplit, you're 100% having internet or server problems, whereas with OBS it's more common to have frame drop issues on the local level.

TL;DR XSplit is the Google Chrome of Broadcasters

  • Easy to Setup
  • Powerful piece of software

  • Not Free for Advanced Features
  • Heavier on CPU
